Schertzer has been working as Legal Aid Ontario’s senior adviser on clinic modernization, and before that, he was the AG’s director of legal and legislative affairs. He’s taking up the mantle from JOSEPH HILLIER, who we first told you was leaving for the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario, as chief strategy officer and corporate secretary.
It’s a wild time for Schertzer to make comeback: Downey’s office has been batting down accusations of patronage over ex-PO staffers MATTHEW BONDY and BROCK VANDRICK’s appointment to the committee that helps pick judges.
