DOUG FORD is adamant that JAGMEET SINGH throwing federal politics into uncertainty has nothing to do with potential provincial plans for an early election.
The Premier’s crystal ball says: “As far as I’m concerned, MP Singh is just blowing smoke.”
Ford didn’t hold back. “I’ll be floored, I’ll stand up here and apologize to all the greedy politicians if he calls the election early. But let’s face it, he wants his pension. He’s not going anywhere until October, let’s say 20th, 2025…He’s just putting on a big show like he has for the last number of years there.”
Singh clapped back, via the Globe: “That’s pretty rich coming from Premier Ford who has built his entire career on the coat tails of his family’s last name and is now under criminal investigation for corruption.”
Fun fact: Ford once told me Singh was his “favourite dipper” back when the pair filmed an episode of TVO’s Political Blind Date.
