CAMPAIGN CASH GRAB — If you needed another sign that a snap vote could be around the corner, look no further than the PCs recent string of fundraising appeals, which are all about the latest voter-friendly pitches.

Red meat for the base: Over the past two weeks, the Tories have blasted fundraising emails about gridlock-fighting policies like the bike-lane ban and sped-up highway construction. They’re also talking up bail reform (more on that momentarily) and an “affordable energy future.”

Choice subject lines include: “Making bike lanes make sense”… “We need stricter bail rules now”… “Building Highways to Tackle Gridlock”… and “We’re bringing common sense back to bike lanes.”

The kicker: While Premier DOUG FORD may claim that an early election is the “last thing on [his] mind,” he managed to sneak in an electoral jab at the NDP during his Monday presser in Sudbury, where he doled out another chunk of wastewater i…
