THE INNER CIRCLE — Queen’s Park is abuzz with cabinet speculation ahead of Friday’s swearing-in — and DOUG FORD is the latest to weigh in.

In an impromptu scrum at Queen’s Park, his first since the morning after the election, the Premier told reporters he’s busy crafting his cabinet but has yet to make the calls to the promoted and demoted future Ministers.

“We have a lot of work cut out for us,” he said, adding that priority number one is subbing in a Health Minister for CHRISTINE ELLIOTT, who did not seek re-election. To that end, Ford said he “consulted” with Elliott, who also serves as his Deputy Premier, on her replacement. “That’s the most important person because she held that role for four years. I’m taking her advice.”

Ford also poured cold water on the rumour that he could be further cleaving the Health Ministry into smaller, standalone portfolios, saying “not right now.”
