THE WEIRDEST PRESSER OF THE YEAR — So far, the title belongs to Independent MPP ROMAN BABER, who was up in the Queen’s Park Media Studio yesterday morning to promote an endorsement from the Amalgamated Transit Union Local 113 — which represents nearly 12,000 TTC workers — for his forthcoming Jobs and Jabs bill. Baber’s private member’s bill would prevent workers from being fired or placed on leave for not getting vaccinated or disclosing their status.
It will be one of the early votes the House faces this session — he’ll seek unanimous consent to pass it right away on Tuesday, October 5 (but it’s unlikely the majority-enjoying government will go for that).
