ANOTHER GREENBELT HEADACHE, AND A WAY OUT — The Ford government has opened up a(nother) can of worms for the Greenbelt by threatening to reverse the removal of a parcel of land after the owners listed it for sale.

The official line: Premier DOUG FORD said he’s worried the owners might be trying to flip the land, which was never part of the plan. “This behaviour goes against everything that our government is doing to bring home ownership into reach for more people…To the other property owners, you’re on notice: if you don’t meet our government’s conditions, including showing real progress by year end with a plan to get shovels in the ground by 2025, your land will go back into the Greenbelt.”

The lands in question are 765 and 775 Kingston Road East in Ajax.
