THE LATEST FROM DR. MOORE — After postponing a presser earlier this week, Dr. KIERAN MOORE was front and centre Thursday with a raft of fresh Covid-fighting policy changes. Here are the highlights:

— On schools: The start of the semester is being pushed back by two days, to January 5, to give boards time to prepare their classrooms, as the province deploys another 3,000 standalone HEPA filters and provides N95 masks for school and daycare staff.

— On testing: Access to PCR tests is being tightened up, and starting today only available for symptomatic folks in certain high-risk groups, such as hospitalized patients, hospital and school staff and people experiencing homelessness.

— On stadiums: Capacity caps at big venues like stadiums are getting slashed. As of today, they will be limited to 50 per cent capacity or 1,000 people, whichever is lower.

— On isolation: Following the CDC, Ontario is cutting the Covid isolation period from 10 to five days for fully vaccinated p…
