SCOOP — The only riding where the Ontario Liberal Party is targeting social media ads is Vaughan—Woodbridge, where Leader STEVEN DEL DUCA is vying to steal back the seat he lost to the PCs MICHAEL TIBOLLO in 2018.

Pollsters and our own reporting suggests it’s going to be an uphill battle for Del Duca. And the OLP’s digital advertising tactics might back that up.

While some individual Grit campaigns are running Facebook ads on their home turf, Vaughan—Woodbridge is the only spot OLP is specifically gunning for, in addition to their provincewide ads.

Just yesterday alone, the party launched at least three ads aimed at voters in Vaughan—Woodbridge. Dozens more have been running since the campaign began, painting Del Duca as a family man and underscoring his connections to the community.

Overall, OLP has coughed up more than $200K on Facebook ads over the last week.
