ABOVE THE FOLD

Premier DOUG FORD is making waves at the podium yet again — but first: the Liberals and New Democrats are getting into it over an unpaid tab at a bar in Kingston.

HOLD MY BEER — The Grits wrapped their caucus retreat in Kingston this week with an informal after-party at the Kingston Brewing Company when they found out that NDP Leader MARIT STILES, who attended the bar as part of a local tour last week, skipped out on her bill.

Stiles had ordered a half pint, Diet Coke and a coffee during the Olympic gold medal hockey game, bringing her tab to around $25. One Liberal operative couldn’t resist a jab, noting the irony of a party that prides itself on championing workers accidentally stiffing a local pub.

“They’re like, ‘we’re here for workers.’ This is a local bar in a small town — and I can see where her staff may have forgot — but come on, they’re in a mindset where forgetting to pay a bill is very easy for them.”

Enter Kingston’s own Liberal TED HSU, who quietly picked up…
