FUNDRAISING WATCH — We now know (sort of) how the five contenders for Liberal captain stack up on memberships — so where do they stand on fundraising?
By the numbers: The latest disclosures from Elections Ontario show BONNIE CROMBIE is still blowing her opponents out of the water when it comes to moneymaking. Crombie has raked in at least $850,253, with an average donation of $1,756 from 485 supporters.
And the rest: NATE ERSKINE-SMITH brought in $292,688 from 384 donors, with supporters giving an average of $764.
TED HSU pulled in $206,882, with an average $880 from 236 donors. Hsu — who lost his campaign manager days before the membership cut-off — says it’s more like $268,000.
YASIR NAQVI earned $197,237 from 276 folks who gave an average of $717.
Rounding out the ticket is ADIL SHAMJI, who raised $88,561 from 100 people coughing up $894 on average.
