BONNIE CROMBIE has officially taken the reins of the Ontario Liberals. Here’s how she pulled it off — and how it’s playing out in all corners at Queen’s Park.

Scenes from the convention floor: Despite talking a big game after voting took place, Crombie eked out a win on the third ballot, after knocking TED HSU, then YASIR NAQVI and finally NATE ERSKINE-SMITH off the ticket. In the end, Crombie secured 53.4 per cent of the vote, while Erskine-Smith gave her a run for her money with 46.6 per cent. Catch up on my play-by-play.

It was a nail-biter. Ballots were counted by hand in real time for each round. The vibe in the convention hall was tense and relatively tame compared to other such conventions this reporter has attended.
