ABOVE THE FOLD
First in Queen’s Park Observer: CAMPAIGN AD WATCH — With fewer than four months to go before Ontarians head to the polls, the NDP and Liberals are putting out fresh ads on social media — while the PCs lay low.
According to Facebook and Instagram disclosures, the Liberals are going hard on anti-DOUG FORD promos, with about two dozen ads taken out since the start of 2022. The ads range from pumping up the Grits to lamenting Ford’s handling of the pandemic and lack of adequate supports for schools.
In the past week, they’ve coughed up about $2,300.
Controversial Richmond Hill candidate ROOZBEH FARHADI — who is married to Leader STEVEN DEL DUCA’s chief of staff NAJVA AMIN and, as I’ve exclusively reported, was accused of getting a leg-up in the nomination contest — is also running ads celebrating Lunar New Year.
