Embattled Labour Minister DAVID PICCINI spent Question Period sweating through another round of calls for his resignation, while Premier DOUG FORD looked like he’d rather be anywhere else — especially as Oppo critics goaded him to channel his inner DONALD TRUMP and just say it: “You’re fired.”

New Democrats and Liberals came in hot, calling for Piccini’s head amid a steady drip of Skills Development Fund sludge — namely, millions doled out to low-scoring applicants and lobbyist buddies cashing in. All the while, the government’s line of defense has been some version of “it’s all for the workers.”
