Reaction to the Ford government’s $15-minimum wage was a mixed bag and the NDP want the ethics watchdog to look into the latest STAN CHO family connection controversy — but first, an update on York Centre, where the PCs are poised to nominate MICHAEL KERZNER, a chief strategist at a genetic testing firm, in the hopes of replacing their incumbent ex-bench mate ROMAN BABER, who was booted for his anti-lockdown stance.
Though a couple other applications came in, Kerzner was the only contestant approved by the party and will be officially nominated on November 14 — the same day Baber is hosting his first annual party as an Independent. Baber’s event takes place at a local hotel where proof-of-vaccination is required — a bit of irony given Baber’s opposition to vax mandates.
While Baber hasn’t formally declared whether he’ll run again, PC insiders in the riding aren’t sweating the potential competition.
