CIVIC VOTES — Ontarians head to the municipal polls today, and there’s no shortage of Queen’s Park connections. Here are the races #onpoli is buzzing about:
— BRAMPTON: Drama continues to unfold in one of the most interesting races in the province. To wit: Incumbent Mayor PATRICK BROWN — the former PC leader with whom there is no love lost with Ford’s Tories — has been accused of several scandals, and is facing tough competition in NIKKI KAUR, who’s backed by prominent Conservative NICK KOUVALIS, among others.
The latest: “Brampton is short election workers by ‘at least 150’ with less than a day before the 2022 municipal election, but the city says it's taking steps to address the shortages.” CBC has the scoop.
