COVID CLAMPDOWN — Cabinet meets today to discuss new pandemic measures in the face of Omicron. Much of the news has already leaked — including that the province will keep the vaccine passport system in place beyond the original end date of January 17 and it will be QR-code only, phasing out the easily-faked paper receipts.
Meanwhile, a tougher rubric for validating medical exemptions is coming after complaints about doctors doling them out under questionable circumstances, sources say.
