DOUG FORD delivered another buzzworthy presser in Whitby. The highlights:

No megacity for you: Sorry, Markham Mayor FRANK SCARPITTI — the Premier has joined the chorus of other York Region mayors and poured cold water on his notion of making it one big megacity to save money and streamline services.

“We just aren’t in favour of it. This is up to all the mayors — it’s not up to one mayor to go out there and say you want to build your empire.”

Stellantis settles: Ford agreed that a revised deal with the automaker is “imminent” and he looks “forward to putting a ribbon and a bow” on the dotted line.
