There’s a tax credit for that: Bethlenfalvy offered a peek at his upcoming spring budget that’s all about sending a message to Washington — and to manufacturers and businesses dealing with the tariff fallout.
Bethlenfalvy confirmed an expansion of the Ontario manufacturing tax credit, which will go from a rate of 10 per cent to 15. It can be used by Canadian-controlled businesses located in Ontario for machinery, equipment or buildings used for manufacturing.
The idea is to blunt the impact of trade tensions with the U.S.
