The Prime Minister and Mayor of Ottawa accused Premier DOUG FORD of shirking his responsibility when it came to dealing with the so-called “Freedom Convoy” trucker protests last winter.

Ford, meanwhile, is facing mounting pressure to take the stand at the Emergencies Act inquiry — while his comments about it thus far have ticked off some Tories.

— A rocky bromance: Despite Ford’s insistence this week that he stood “shoulder to shoulder” with PM JUSTIN TRUDEAU when invoking the Emergencies Act to end the Convoy protests that rocked the nation’s capital — Trudeau and Mayor JIM WATSON accused Ford of “hiding from his responsibility on it for political reasons.”
