Brought to you by Toronto Pearson

☀️ PROGRAMMING NOTE: I’m taking off next week for a much-needed vacation. You’ll hear from me next on July 7. Fingers crossed absence makes the inbox grow fonder.

If you're new here: I take four weeks off a year — two in the summer, two in the winter — to rest, recharge, and resist burnout. Sometimes that means a quiet inbox. Other times, you'll get a quick roundup if news breaks. Either way, I’ll be recharging so I can keep asking the questions no one wants to answer.

FINALLY! — DOUG FORD breaks ground at Woodbine GO: Six years after promising it, the Premier showed up with a shovel and a smile to launch construction on the long-delayed Woodbine GO Station. It’ll eventually replace Etobicoke North station (in the heart of Ford Nation) and connect riders to Pearson and, of course, the ponies.

“We had to do the environmental assessments, we had to consult with the community,” Ford said (rather loudly, as airplane jets were roaring overhead)…
