First in Observer — MOVERS AND SHAKERS — There’s some fresh and familiar blood around the bureaucracy and beyond.

DMs: RODA MUSE is the new Deputy Minister of Francophone Affairs, effective May 1. Muse takes up the mantle from MARIE-LISON FOUGÈRE, who’s hung up her civil service boots after 30 years in the biz.

Meanwhile, DENISE COLE is now DM to the Minister of Women’s Social and Economic Opportunity.

A familiar face: CARMINE NIGRO — a developer who dined with DOUG FORD at his daughter’s wedding — was reappointed as chair of the board of directors of the Ontario Place Corporation. His term runs until December 31.

Over at the Provincial Land and Development Facilitator’s office: Cabinet has laid out compensation for future deputy facilitators, who will help the province negotiate for land development. Those folks will rake in a $1,000 per diem, up to $234,000 annually. Current part-time chair PAULA DILL earns $1,200 per day, up to $280,800 annually.
