It’s official: the Ford government confirmed my scoop about an LCBO wholesale discount for restaurants — and housing affordability is on the backburner in the face of Omicron. But first — the PCs are making it rain booster shots.

SHOTS FIRED — After laying low for a few days, Premier DOUG FORD was front and centre to announce new Omicron-fighting measures, including expanded boosters, a shorter three-month timeline between second and third shots, reduced capacity limits, and a rapid test holiday blitz.

“It’s all hands on deck…Nothing matters more than getting these third shots into arms,” Ford told reporters, stressing inoculations over lockdowns as the preferred line of defence.

Starting Monday, over-18s will be able to book their boosters, while some pharmacies can start running walk-in clinics for that crowd on Friday. More people will be eligible as the PCs are cutting the six-month interval between doses to 84 days.
