MPPs are back at it in the House following the constituency week break — but Premier DOUG FORD is hitting the road and heading southwest for a tour of Windsor, where he’ll make an announcement and take in-person media questions alongside Health Minister CHRISTINE ELLIOTT in Tecumseh at 1:30 p.m.

Windsor is in play for 2022. It’s a region many Tories believe they can flip from the NDP, and Tecumseh in particular is losing its longtime representative PERCY HATFIELD, who’s hanging up his legislative hat and will not seek re-election in June. The PCs also nominated their first non-incumbent candidates in the area — ANDREW DOWIE, a local councillor and engineer, is vying to replace Hatfield, while the NDP hopes to pass the torch to their contender, GEMMA GREY-HALL, a fundraising professional and community advocate.
