DOUG FORD’S VERY BAD DAY — Ontario’s election frontrunner has made a major misstep with his hot-mic moment, and his main opponents are hoping it’ll shake up the campaign.

But will it knock DOUG FORD off his pedestal?

MARIT STILES and BONNIE CROMBIE seized the opportunity to shift the theme of the election from tariffs — Ford’s strong suit — to health care, housing and education — areas where he’s got a less-than-stellar record.

While public-opinion polling has suggested those issues, along with cost of living and access to a family doctor, rank higher on Ontarians’ radar compared to U.S. relations, the campaign has been all about the on-again-off-again trade war with DONALD TRUMP.
