We’ve got another pre-game goody ahead of the Fall Economic Statement: Expanded access to fertility services such as IVF.
Health Minister SYLVIA JONES and Finance Minister PETER BETHLENFALVY made it official, saying the move will triple the number of families eligible for publicly paid-for services. The program is getting another $150 million in the FES, which drops October 30.
Bethlenfalvy also teased a tax credit in January that would cover up to 25 per cent of the cost for IVF cycles, fertility medication, treatment-related travel and diagnostic testing, up to $5,000 a year.
Jones will talk more about the move at the Empire Club next month.
