The House may be out for an especially long summer — but Queen’s Park will be anything but quiet.

POLITICALLY SPEAKING: DOUG FORD and the PCs are dealing with no shortage of controversies. The Premier will be busy making inroads with Prime Minister MARK CARNEY’s rookie government as the country grapples with U.S. tariffs. To that end, Ford’s hosting a summer meeting with his fellow first ministers in cottage country next month.

But while he’s looking to play Captain Canada and national unifier, critics like NDP Leader MARIT STILES and her Indigenous affairs critic SOL MAMAKWA won’t let him forget about hot-potato Bill 5.
