Another day, another blow to the Ford government on the Greenbelt — but first, here’s the latest buzz on the hotly rumoured cabinet shakeup.
SHUFFLE TIME — Multiple sources tell me to expect Premier DOUG FORD to switch up his front bench on Friday, ahead of the Labour Day long weekend.
Word on the street is embattled Housing Minister STEVE CLARK is sticking around — Ford even backed him after the Integrity Commish dropped his bombshell report — but there could be new faces and title changes.
Take that with a grain of salt: Shuffle plans are typically held close to the vest, and rumours are flying wildly around the Leg.
Still, the consensus among MPPs, staffers and insiders is that Friday is the big day. Tory sources tell me that Clark resigning, rather than getting turfed, would be a way out of the Greenbelt mess — but it may not be enough to put out the fire for good.
