Salt in the wounds: It’s another blow to Premier DOUG FORD’s embattled PCs following a summer of watchdog investigations, a pair of ministerial resignations, the loss of two top staffers, plummeting popularity and strained caucus relations — all thanks to the now-reversed $8.28-billion land grab that was found to be flawed and favoured certain developers.
‘O’ no: The RCMP’s O Division, which handles sensitive and international investigations into possible criminal activity is taking on the case. As is typical, they’re not saying much for now, confirming only that they’ve “launched an investigation into allegations associated to the decision from the province of Ontario to open parts of the Greenbelt for development.”
