YOU GOT SERVED — NDPer SARAH JAMA has triggered another political standoff at Queen’s Park — this time, taking on Premier DOUG FORD.
To wit: Jama’s lawyer STEPHEN ELLIS sent a cease-and-desist letter to Ford demanding that he retract his earlier statements about Jama and put out an “unequivocal apology” within seven days — lest he face a possible defamation lawsuit.
“Tarnishing Ms. Jama’s reputation in such a public manner will not be tolerated under any circumstances,” the letter reads. If Ford doesn’t say sorry, Jama has instructed counsel to “escalate matters further, which may include, without limitation, issuing a statement of claim against you personally.”
The offending statement: Ford had said Jama has a “long and well-documented history of antisemitism” and “hateful views,” and that her original pro-Palestine remark — which triggered a standoff with her own leader and chaos among her caucus mates — shows she “publicly supported the rape and murder of innocent Jew…
