We did it! The House broke Thursday for a very extended winter recess — MPPs won’t be back in the Leg until March 23.
That means no debates, no legislative movement, and, if you’re the Opposition, no Question Period in which to hold the Ford government to account. Global News illustrated the lack of sitting days — 12 weeks down — with a handy graphic. To compare, both the provincial and federal parliaments recessed Thursday, but the feds will be back in the House of Commons at the end of January.
