AHEAD BY A CENTURY — Don’t hold your breath for details of the Ford government’s 95-year lease agreement with Therme for Ontario Place. Ditto the business case for moving the Science Centre to the waterfront.

Bait and switch: Infrastructure Minister KINGA SURMA previously suggested the business case would be revealed in due course, but has since changed her tune. Her office now says those details will remain under wraps, calling it standard practice.

Surma — who dodged reporters after Question Period — also called the long-term deal with waterpark and spa co. Therme a “standard lease agreement.”

“We are not selling the land — the land will continue to be in ownership of the people of the province,” Surma assured the House.
