MILLER OUT — With the campaign looming large, the NDP has dropped a veteran from their ranks under mysterious circumstances. PAUL MILLER, who’s represented Hamilton East—Stoney Creek since 2007, will sit as an Independent next week after NDP Leader ANDREA HORWATH confirmed he was booted from caucus.
She didn’t say why.
The statement: “Our party has concluded the vetting process for Paul Miller, and determined he will not be permitted to run as a candidate for the Ontario NDP in the 2022 election. I’ve been informed of the new information uncovered during that vetting process, and find it to be clearly unacceptable. Therefore I have removed Mr. Miller from the Ontario NDP caucus.”
Sources didn’t spill on the specifics, but they did tell me the “unacceptable” info wasn’t related to potential criminal wrongdoing.
