ABOVE THE FOLD

MPPs are closing out the first sitting week since June today, and then heading into a constituency break week after the Thanksgiving long weekend. “I’m not mad there’s a constit week coming up,” said one tired staffer after a whirlwind first week back. The House reconvenes on Monday, October 18.

Political parties are ending the week on theme — with more campaign-style attack ads. This morning, NDP campaign manager MICHAEL BALAGUS will release the Oppo’s latest spot, which airs Monday. The themes are:

“She knows who she is.”

“This guy? Says he’s for the little guy. But what happened to that? Every chance he gets, [DOUG] FORD fails your family…Here for his buddies. Not for you.”

“But this guy [STEVEN DEL DUCA]? Thinks the job belongs to him. You might not remember his name. But you’ll never forget his record as KATHLEEN WYNNE’s right-hand man.”
