When it comes to their handling of the so-called freedom convoy, Premier DOUG FORD beat out Prime Minister JUSTIN TRUDEAU. The top doc says masks will be lifted in schools along with the rest of the province. And you’ll no longer need to flash proof of vaccination to enter the Legislative Precinct.
POLL WATCH — About half of Ontarians — 49 per cent — approve of the Premier’s handling of the trucker-led protests that occupied the streets of Ottawa and blockaded the critical Ambassador Bridge in Windsor for weeks.
That’s the upshot from a fresh public-opinion survey from Ipsos that suggests Ford out-performed Trudeau, who turned up 46 per cent support.
On the flip side, 40 per cent of Ontarians agreed that the premier is responsible for the demonstrations because he imposed “unreasonable” restrictions that lasted too long. Full results.
