IN THE 905 — The Ford government is plowing ahead with controversial MZOs that are ruffling feathers in Mississauga.
The MZOs: Housing Minister STEVE CLARK signed off on a pair of Minister’s Zoning Orders — which bypass local consultation and planning processes to fast-track development — that would double the number of units to 16,000 and scrap height limits for some buildings in Lakeview Village.
The developer: Lakeview Community Partners made the request. The group is reportedly made up of a bunch of developers with ties to the PCs, including the De Gasperis family.
City Hall isn’t happy. BONNIE CROMBIE called it “a bridge too far.”
