COMMITTEE CLUSTER — It was fireworks at the committee studying the PCs hot-potato Bill 60, which expands private delivery of certain OHIP-funded services.

Committees are typically more subdued than the fiery Question Period debates. But every now and then, they’re much more compelling because MPPs can be more organic and give less talking points during the policy-heavy debate.

Monday’s public hearings were one of those riveting times. Stakeholders got the chance to weigh in publicly, but it wasn’t so much what they said — lines have been drawn in the sand over Bill 60 even before it hit the Clerk’s table — but rather the government’s attitude toward them.
