ABOVE THE FOLD

Breaking overnight — Sources tell me Tourism Minister LISA MACLEOD is slated to lead an emergency government meeting this morning to discuss the situation around restaurant capacity. “Changes coming,” texted one insider.

While details are scant, the meeting comes as the Ford government takes flak from the restaurant industry after it lifted capacity caps for certain other venues where vaccine passports are in effect.

It’s back to full capacity for movie theatres, concert venues, and sports arenas — but bars and restaurants are still required to space indoor diners two metres apart.
