First in Queen’s Park Observer — Mines Minister GEORGE PIRIE knows how to party.
According to his campaign finance returns for the 2022 election — which I’ve been parsing for all candidates — the former mayor and rookie PC MPP for Timmins celebrated his win over the incumbent NDP veteran to the tune of $23,018.
That’s how much Pirie spent on his victory party, and according to Elections Ontario disclosures, it’s relatively higher than most other candidates.
By the numbers: So, what did Pirie get for $23,018? Here’s the breakdown:
— Catering clocked in at $13,700, which went to SOL TAINUI, who owns Heart and Sol Catering with ERIKA BAZUIK. The pair have catered Pirie’s events in the past, and even trekked to Toronto to serve up some grub for Premier DOUG FORD.
