Another busy one at Queen’s Park: a fresh Angus Reid poll has DOUG FORD hovering near the bottom of the Premier pack (though he’ll happily tout the approval). Ford took his show to the Toronto Region Board of Trade — only to deliver the real fireworks in the post-speech scrum, railing against speed cameras as a “cash grab.” And the JAMIL JIVANI drama is still ricocheting through political circles.
POLL WATCH — Ontario’s everyman-in-a-hardhat is once again stuck near the bottom of the Angus Reid Institute’s quarterly rankings. But here’s the twist: at 41 per cent approval, Ford is actually riding one of his better waves — he’s only cracked that number three times since the fall of 2022.
Honeymoon phase? The bump could be owed to his showmanship. Ford’s been in full hold-my-Crown-Royal mode lately — literally dumping a bottle of the whisky after the company announced jobs were moving stateside. He’s also called out the owner of a Hamilton steel plant, bashed medical testing…
