Premier DOUG FORD held forth on everything from the AG report to questionable developer moves on the Greenbelt — but first: there’s fresh polling on Oppo leadership races.
POLL WATCH — Probit gauged Ontarians on the NDP and Liberal leadership races, with some surprising stats.
By the numbers: For the NDP, sole contender so far MARIT STILES leads the pack, with 36 per cent support. Federal NDP MP CHARLIE ANGUS is in close second with 31 per cent.
The rest of the crew is trailing: MPP JILL ANDREW (9 per cent), SOL MAMAKWA (5 per cent), LAURA MAE LINDO (4 per cent), WAYNE GATES (4 per cent), GURRATAN SINGH (2 per cent), JEFF BURCH (2 per cent) and JENNIE STEVENS (2 per cent).
Why it matters: We’re just days out from the deadline to sign up for the race to permanently replace ANDREA HORWATH on December 5 — and Stiles still stands alone. NDPers pick their new captain the first week of March.
