Poll watch: "Voters' remorse"

POLL WATCH — Fresh polling data from the Angus Reid Institute suggests Ontarians are split on Bill 7 and may have “voters’ remorse” over the Ford government’s handling of top issues.
The highlights:
— The post-election honeymoon is decidedly over for Premier DOUG FORD and the PCs. “Four months into Ford’s second mandate, Ontarians are generally negative about his government’s performance,” the pollster says. “Praise is about equal to criticism on only two measures — the response to COVID-19 and relationship with the federal government. Notably, neither of these issues rises high on the priority scale.”
The calls are coming from inside the house. A majority of folks — 62 per cent — who voted for the PCs in June believe the government is doing a poor job with health care, while about half — 52 per cent — aren’t happy about their handling of inflation.
