ONE DOWN, ONE TO GO — A pair of high profile lawsuits involving some of the country’s most outspoken pollsters saw major movement this week.

Pollster peace: The defamation fight between PC pollster and Campaign Research head NICK KOUVALIS and Mainstreet Research’s QUITO MAGGI has been formally put to bed, with both operatives issuing a joint statement saying they’ve resolved the case “with no payment or award of money,” which effectively dismisses the litigation.

“We both regret some things we said about each other during the 2025 Ontario and Federal elections,” they said in a joint statement posted to social media.

Recall: Maggi’s $4-million defamation suit accused Kouvalis of launching a social-media smear campaign during the 2025 elections — from calling Mainstreet “🤡Street” to posting an AI cowboy meme — and argued the Ontario PCs were “vicariously liable” because of Kouvalis’s r…
