FORD SAYS — It isn’t so much what the Premier is saying, but what he isn’t saying, that’s making waves. Highlights from DOUG FORD’s juicy Wednesday presser:

Pressed repeatedly on the possibility of an early election in winter or spring of 2025, Ford wouldn’t rule it out: “We aren’t having an election this year,” is all the Premier would say, re-upping his line that he’s focused on what he can do for folks today.

He acknowledged that he’s given his MPPs until December to strap in for the next campaign, or bow out so another candidate can get to canvassing. That’s something that typically happens months out from E-Day.

Still, Ford wouldn’t bite when asked to explain the timing: “Well, you always have to be prepared. That’s what it comes down to.”
