There’s not much time to shake up what the polls have been saying since day one — that the PCs are on track for a second mandate. But as the Liberals and NDP jockey for Official Opposition status, all parties are amping up their attacks and zeroing in on make-or-break ridings.

— Ad watch: The New Democrats’ “final argument” features fresh ads aimed at the PC and Grit records on health care, adding that “the NDP will stop the cuts, fix health and seniors’ care and save families thousands.”

The latest spots were “buoyed by a wave of donations to NDP candidates” in the 905 in particular, the party says. That includes Mississauga—Malton, Mississauga Streetsville, Brampton North and Vaughan—Woodbridge, where donations were up by tens of thousands of dollars compared to 2018.
