DRAFT MIKE — In a stunning flip-flop, Green Leader MIKE SCHREINER now says he wants “time to think about” a letter from 39 heavyweight Grits asking him to be a ringer for their floundering party.
Schreiner has always said he’ll be sticking with the Greens — but in light of the “serious” plea from the Liberals, he’s now willing to mull it over.
“As you know, I have always said that I have no ambition to lead any party other than the Ontario Green Party,” Schreiner said in a statement. “Yesterday I received a serious letter from people who expressed concerns I share about the current government and the need for urgent action on the climate crisis.
