THE WHOLE STORY — ALISON KELLY was a Liberal. Now she’s running for the NDP in the Bay of Quinte after being acclaimed the 2022 candidate Monday evening.
Sources tell me Kelly, a local school board trustee, was wooed by both the Liberal and NDP camps but eventually decided to fly the orange banner. That’s in part because the Grits chose STEVEN DEL DUCA as their leader last year — Kelly had attended the party’s 2020 leadership convention as a delegate supporting MITZIE HUNTER’s bid.
