SHOTS CLEARED FOR TOTS — Parents and the province are lauding Health Canada’s approval of Moderna’s anti-Covid vaccine for the littlest folks aged six months to five years old — making it the first dose available to that age group in the country.
But parents will have to wait a little longer to find out how and when their little ones can get the shot.
It’s “fantastic news,” STEPHEN WARNER, spokesman for Health Minister SYLVIA JONES, said in a statement that was lax on distribution details.
“Ontario expects to receive this new paediatric supply from the federal government by late next week and is ready to distribute the vaccines to sites across the province so we can begin to administer doses with the support of our local partners as soon as possible. We will keep parents informed and share more information in advance of the vaccines arriving.”
