ABOVE THE FOLD

The PCs are backing off a hot-potato housing proposal that had farmers up in arms — but first, it’s the eve of June, when our sources have pegged the next cabinet shuffle at. Here’s what I’m hearing:

Timing is everything: As we reported earlier this month, word on the street is that the PCs front-bench shakeup will happen sometime in June. It makes sense to have a refresher then, given that we’re coming up on the one-year anniversary of the PCs second majority win. The summer recess would also give front-benchers a chance to get up to speed on their new portfolios.

Take that with a grain of salt: These things are typically held close to the vest, so don’t expect anything resembling a confirmation from the powers-that-be.

Now that that caveat is out of the way — let’s dig into the wild speculation.
