ON THE LINE — While virtually all pollsters suggest the PCs are sitting pretty and poised for re-election (more on that below) — campaigns matter. The next 28 days to E-Day will see their political rivals prop themselves up as the best alternative to take the top job in the province — and some are touting more catchy slogans than others.
To help suss out their effectiveness, I spoke with SCOTT REID, principal at Feschuk.Reid and ex-director of communications for former PM PAUL MARTIN. Here’s his take:
— On the Greens newly launched tagline, The Ontario you want. The leadership we need: “‘The bread you eat. The chair you sit. The boring we make.’ Wow. Not sure this could possibly be more generic. Does it say anything about this campaign? About the leader or his priorities? This sounds more like the Grey Party than the Green Party. Uninspired and dead boring.”
