STEVE CLARK is experiencing a renaissance.

The embattled former Housing Minister was back in the Legislature for the first time this week since his unceremonious exit amid the Greenbelt debacle. He may have been relegated to the PC backbenches, but he’s putting on a brave face with reporters.

Here’s what Clark had to say:

On post-Greenbelt-debacle life: “The last two months have been really good. I’ve really got to reconnect with the riding [Leeds-Grenville-Thousand Islands and Rideau Lakes]…I got back to basics in the riding in terms of opening up files, calling constituents…And, you know, I look forward to participating more in the Legislature…As far as I’m concerned, I’m in a really good place. Glad to be back.”
